SPMVV's Mission

Vision: To be a premier centre of education, both general and professional, for women to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes required to lead life as complete citizens and pursue careers of their choice.
Mission: Emancipation of Women through acquisition of knowledge and Empowerment through skill up-gradation, involvement and participation in various occupations in the society, towards the end of establishing a progressive egalitarian society.
Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (University for Women) established in the year 1983 and accredited with four stars status by NAAC has given unparalleled service to Womens Education in Andhra Pradesh, drawing on the great cultural traditions of the Country as well as keeping in tune with changing times, channels of employability and assuring quality education in teaching as well as research. We shall continue to produce graduates who are equipped to contribute to the intellectual, social, political, moral and material development of the societies in which they are to live and recognize that the development of contemporary societies reflects diversity along side consensus and acknowledgement of the past as well as concern for innovation. We shall continue to undertake training, research, consultancy and other forms of service to local and regional communities, which will enrich our teaching and advance our quest for wisdom and truth. We shall make known our mission in Andhra Pradesh as well as nationally and internationally.
