Located in the quaint city of Tirupati in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam is the state’s premier women’s university.
Best known for its religious significance in Hinduism, Tirupati is home to one of the holiest temples in the world, the Sri Venkateswara Temple located atop the hill Tirumala. The city is surrounded by seven panoramic hills and perennial waterfalls amidst verdant forests.
The city was named “Best Heritage City” by India’s Ministry of Tourism.
In 2015, Tirupati was chosen as one of 100 cities in the country to be a part of the government’s Smart City Mission, which will transform it into a modern city with rich historical roots.
