B.A. Public Policy and Anthropology
In recognition of the University’s Strength in Academics, Research, Extension and employment fields, the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) of the country has provided “A” Grade to the University. Under this back drop, the University with an ambition to further expand its growth and with the intention of encouraging Girl/Women students to enter into the coveted Civil Services and to actively participate in the functioning of the Government and as per the recommendations of the 2nd Administrative reforms commission of Government of India, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visva Vidyalayam has started B.A/M.A Public Policy and Anthropology 5 Years Degree Course in partnership with Hyderabad based Para Association for Rural Development (PARD) with the objective of providing best coaching for Girl students in their pursuit of civil services and other Competitive jobs at the State and National Level.
B.A. in Public Policy and Anthropology is a unique and first-of-its-kind interdisciplinary programme in India, and which provides the students with a solid grounding in Social Science theories along with Humanities and their applications. Students will learn to use social sciences to solve problems that are faced at both individual level as well as institutional level. They will acquire skills to develop models and tools, and apply those in the field of public policy, development interventions, Human resource management, advocacy, communications, branding and marketing research.
Public Policy and Anthropology teaches the students to understand both sides of the Government policies with knowledge in policy construction as well as its implementation along with learning the intricacies of different stakeholders that benefit from those policies.
Anthropology provides a unique opportunity to understand Humans and where they came from in respect to multiple perspectives i.e., Historical, Biological, Cultural, Political, Economic, and much more. A well-rounded understanding of Human mind and body allows the students to open up their minds to more possibilities of solutions to the modern problems faced in policy making and implementation.

Vision
The aim of the Public Policy and Anthropology programme integrated with Civil Services coaching is to prepare the students mainly for entering into the prestigious jobs of IAS, IPS etc along with other State Public Services and also prepare for job opportunities in the corporate world and thereby provide a financial platform for the girls to stand on their own.

The B.A. in Public Policy and Anthropology is a versatile social science degree leading to a variety of career paths. Students of this course will acquire skills to develop models and tools, and apply those in the field of public policy, journalism, advocacy, communications, branding and marketing research, news media, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), inter-governmental organisations (IGOs), public relations firms, think tanks, activist and advocacy groups, higher studies, and academia.
